My husband and I have known each other since the 6th grade, but we became best friends starting freshman year of high school. I had my share of boyfriends; him with his girlfriends, but I used to always tell him that he was going to be my husband one day (my mom saw it too). We watched out for each other with love and care that no other could receive from us. He always waited after school with me as I waited for my grandfather to pick me up. After realizing that the feelings we shared were more than friendship, we decided to give a relationship a try (his exact words were “let’s see where this goes.”). Well it went as far as us celebrating 10yrs of marriage (12yrs together) this coming December, and a 6yr old son! What’s keeping us together: God in the center, studying our purposes (as man and woman, as well as husband and wife), and constant communication. I love my man, and I love God for blessing me with him!
