Dan and I will be married for 33 years on July 22. We met while working at a grocery store and both still work for a grocery store. We have three great grown up children and a wonderful extended family.
I have to say that the thing that stands out about our life is how every day he makes me laugh. Even something very simple, he will somehow make me laugh. Additionally, he always makes me feel special. No matter where we go, he tells me that I was the prettiest girl there, and he never forgets to tell me that.
He has always surprised me with special things. On our 30th anniversary, we did a road trip to NY and Niagara falls. One of my favorite movies is Pretty Woman, and when we were getting ready in Niagara Falls to go out to eat for our anniversary, he slipped a diamond necklace around my neck like in the movie. He always makes me feel special. That’s important in a marriage.
After 33 years, I actually can say that I love him more every day and he feels the same way. We have a great time together no matter what we are doing.
