My World Changer

My husband and I met at just 12 years old. We both went to the same junior high, and I remember him being so short and skinny. I never looked at him as a partner.

During that school year, he moved away and I hadn’t heard anything else about him. Five years later, now in high school, we get a new student in our classroom that everyone was drooling over. I knew he looked familiar, but I was thrown off because he had the most perfect facial hair lined, his voice changed, he grew so much taller and was just GORGEOUS! He lets me know that he likes me and had always had.

We started dating in April 08, and he also asked me to prom, which is the night I fell in love with him and knew he would be my husband. Graduation came and we were sad because we knew we probably wouldn’t see each other again because my father didnt want me to date. So the first 10 months of our relationship was distant. I didnt see him unless he came for tacos at my job, or to church. 10 months in, he proposed to me using a hot sauce packet from taco bell saying will you marry me? It was the most adorable way to propose (seeing that I worked at Taco Bell), and it was on valentines day 09. Of course I said yes, and we married April 10th, 2010. I have never been happier.

He was my first and I’m so glad I shared my special gift with only my husband..he is my everything and I never thought that i would find my soulmate at 18 years old. Im now 21 years old and I still love him just the same if not more. He is amazing and through all the objections we had with my immediately family, he never gave up on me, on us. He is a soldier and that is why he will always be my world changer.
