Edwin and I dated in high school and went to our senior prom together. He was very shy and I was more outgoing at the time. We dated for a short period in high school, then I went away to school and Edwin went on with his life.
Ten years later, our 10-year high school class reunion was held. Edwin had no intentions on showing up. His friends tried with many attempts to get him to go and to no avail. He had no interest in going. He told them that he would only be interested in going to see one person: me. He decided that he did not want to go because he thought that I had gotten married. His friend told him that I was single and that I was looking even more attractive than in high school. Edwin hurriedly got ready for the event. He was still shy but he knew that this was his only chance to get me back.
We then exchanged numbers at our class picnic and dated for a short time. He told me that he always told himself that if he ever got me back, he was never letting me go again. After a few months of dating and going to church together, we meshed well and were inseparable. Edwin then proposed and we married on December 6, 2010; my 29th birthday.
