Young at Heart

Almost married 10 years, at the ages of 30 and 31, my husband Nathan and I will renew our vows this September to signify our love and support for each other and our marriage. We have been through many happy times, blessings and struggles that have given us the true meaning of a married couple.
Becoming pregnant at a very young age, Nathan and I have had to grow up in a different lifestyle than most. Being young parents required a lot of dedication to each other and our family life. We were just little teens, when we began our life’s journey together. There have been many bumps in the road, from family addictions, losing a parent, disagreements and money struggles, just to name a few. We have always managed to work through anything as long as we continued to “grow up” together! That’s the secret! Together – not a part.
We have also taken advantage of “tools” to help us along. There are some great books that I recommend: “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman and “The Total Money Makeover” by Dave Ramsey. Oh… and watch the movie “Fireproof” and do “The Love Dare” from it…These have saved our marriage and brought us to a new perspective – together.
From owning a restaurant, providing for our 2 children, purchasing a home, many great trips and memories, we have been incredibly blessed! I can truly say that we have a healthy family relationship. I hope this will inspire you to strive for yours. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share:)
